What is the cancellation policy?
If you miss a class:
We’ll check in with you via email or text.
You can reschedule or request a refund.
Refunds can be issued to your card or by check.
Class Details & Requirements
What’s the difference between the 5-hour and 1-hour class?
If you hold both Plumbing and HVACR licenses and previously completed 5 hours of Plumbing Continuing Education (CE), you only need 1.5 hours of CE for your HVACR license this time.
How many people are in a class?
Class sizes range from 30 to 50 people, depending on the venue.
Do I need a computer for online classes?
Yes, online classes require a laptop, computer, or tablet with a webcam. We need to see and hear each other.
What should I have for an online class?
You’ll get an electronic copy of the class material 2–3 days before class.
The Zoom link will be sent 2 days before class.
What are the rules for online classes?
No virtual backgrounds.
No driving during class.
Stay upright. No lounging or lying down.
Continuing Education & License Renewal
When do I need to complete my CE for Plumbing?
New Jersey Plumbing licensees must complete 5 hours of CE before June 30th of odd-numbered years.
When do I need to complete my CE for HVACR?
New Jersey HVACR licensees must complete 5 hours of CE before June 30th of even-numbered years.
Classes start in September, both online and in person.

HVACR Licensing & BFR Information
What should I know about being an HVACR Bona Fide Representative (BFR)?
Becoming a BFR: You can become a BFR at any time. Just inform the Board within 30 days—no prior approval needed.
Liability Insurance: If you’re not a BFR, you don’t need liability insurance.
Shelving/Parking Your License: Switching to Inactive is free—no surety bond, no renewal fee, no CE required.
Reactivating Your License: Takes 3–6 months and requires CE completion.
Resigning as a BFR: If you step down, notify the Board that your company is not performing HVACR work to ensure a smooth return later.

How do I get a NJ Master HVACR or Plumbing License?
You must:
Complete a 5-year DOL-approved Apprenticeship Program.
Pass the licensing exam.

What is the NJ HVACR exam like?
The exam has two parts: Trade and Business. Each section has 50 questions with a 130-minute time limit.

How can I pass the NJ HVACR exam?
The key is time management—you have 2.5 minutes per question. We train you to find answers in 30 seconds or less for open-book questions.
How do your exam prep classes work?
Live Online Sessions
Four 2.5-hour sessions on Tuesday nights.

Take online quizzes to get familiar with the test materials.
