Are you a dual-license holder?

Do you hold both HVACR and Plumbing licenses in Delaware?

  • If you hold both licenses, you must complete 6 total hours of Continuing Education (CE) before renewal:

    1. 5 hours of HVACR CE

    2. 1 hour of Plumbing CE (Backflow & Cross-Connection)

These courses can be completed online or in person and are available throughout the year to meet Delaware’s licensing timelines.

    🗓 Timing Notes:

    • CE is required in even-numbered years, starting with October 31, 2026.

    • If you received your license after October 31, 2025, you do not need CE this cycle.

    • If you received your license after October 31, 2024 but before October 31, 2025, you must complete 3 hours of CE.

  • If you hold just one license, your CE requirement is straightforward:

    • Plumbing only: 5 hours of Plumbing CE

    • HVACR only: 5 hours of HVACR CE

🗓 Renewal Schedule: CE applies in even-numbered years, with the first renewal due October 31, 2026.
