Are you a dual-license holder?
Do you hold both HVACR and Plumbing licenses in New Jersey?
-
You’ll need to alternate your Continuing Education (CE) each renewal cycle:
This renewal cycle: Take one 5-hour CE course — for either your HVACR or Plumbing license.
Next renewal cycle: Take the 1-hour Regulations course for the other license. Ensures you stay current on regulations for both license types.
Keep alternating in the future renewal cycles: 5-hour → 1-hour → 5-hour → 1-hour.
💡 Example: If you complete the Plumbing 5-hour CE this year, you’ll take the HVACR 1-hour Regulations course next time.
-
Great — you only need to take CE for your specific license:
HVACR only: take the NJ HVACR 5-hour CE.
Plumbing only: take the NJ Plumbing 5-hour CE (includes 1 hour of NJ laws within the 5).
Next renewal? It’s 5 hours again for your license.
